Edmonton Food & Beverage Blogger Meetup - March 4, 2014

Are you a Food and/or Beverage Blogger here in good ole Edmonton? Do you read your fellow foodies' blogs or have seen them pass by at events but never really met or chatted with them?

We, that is Marianne & I, felt it was time to make it happen & we would like YOU to join us!

The Common has allowed us to reserve the back area of the restaurant (*) so that we can easily mingle. Pop in for a little or stay for a while. Come for drinks and/or appetizers or come for dinner.  The option is yours, just make sure to come! Please help spread the word!

In order to firm up numbers with the restaurant, please let us know sooner if you are coming and if you will be bringing a +1.  Also, it would be a great idea to have a list of attendees so that we can get to know you and your blog before we meet so send your:


(*) FYI - The Common will be taking orders from the regular food and drink menu and will be charging an automatic 18% gratuity. You are responsible for your own tabs, peeps! Must be 18+ to attend (*) 




I never got around to posting about my visit to The Common so here is my chance!   The plates are a food photographer's dream.  So beautifully presented!

Seems that whenever I've heard anything about chicken and waffles, it was always related to The Common.  Crispy chicken and bacon waffles with goat cheese?  I can understand why they have street cred with this dish.


We also ordered the Umami burger.  I love caramelized onions and what is that? Sriracha aioli? How can one say no to that. I think they should also allow orders of those fries alone.  Or poutine style!  Drool.  Can't wait.
