The frost that hit us the last week caused a big harvest of vegetables and fruit at our home. I thought I'd share the HUGE tomato my hubby grew.
And for your reference, that is a QUARTER in the picture. Not a dime or nickel.
A quarter. Uh huh.
We're still eating that sucker!
Teehee...you coulda made a tomat-o-lantern with that :-D.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was a dime. Wow.

ReplyDeleteAfter the Grow Op post in the Spring, it is thrilling to see the fruits of your labour. I nursed and patted and prodded and spoke to a host of heirloom tomatoes in the Spring and after our holidays... and none got blight, but they just did not turn red - then I was sick for two days during the first frost and had no idea to bring them in. I cried.
There is always next year.
:)

Sorry to hear Valerie! How sad indeed. My hubby does all the gardening so I don't have to worry about all those things. Though, we have a large box of green tomatoes downstairs. sigh.
ReplyDeleteCan you say Fried green tomatoes?
